Illini Recycling currently provides curbside garbage service to Champaign and Savoy neighborhoods. We also offer free curbside recycling with paid garbage service. For all other areas, we provide a public recycling drop off site where you are welcome to drop materials off. (There is no fee to use our recycling drop off site.)

Curbside Recycling
We accept only the items listed here for curbside recycling:
- Cardboard
- Magazines
- Newspaper
- Office paper
- #1-#7 Plastic bottles
- Tin food cans
- Aluminum cans
- Aluminum foil/pans
- Clear, green, or brown glass
Curbside recycling materials should be cleaned and placed at the curb on the night prior to your pick up day. Remember that garbage and recycling are picked up by two separate trucks, so you should not be surprised if one is collected before the other.
If you live in the City of Urbana, please call the Urbana Public Works regarding the U-Cycle program. Their number is 217-384-2342.
Bulk Items or Excessive Amounts subject to additional charges and must be arranged for pickup in advance by calling our office at 217-356-0648.
